KENYAN YOUTH MADNESS:OF TAHIDI HIGH, OJ AND TANYA

The Kenyan youth never ceases to amaze. The madness is too much-from social media to national TV with good examples to show this being the popular Fans of crazy Monday's 'weekly face-off on Facebook and to some extent, Tahidi high, respectively. Who doesn't miss the bold antics of the Tahidi high trio-OJ, Freddy and Shish...Oh, I almost forgot that Omosh the makmende should also feature in that list. Out of the four, only Omosh remains in the Kenyan High School drama. The rest outgrew their roles(literaly). I mean, time came when convincing Kenyans that a pot bellied OJ(too much beer I suppose) is a high school makmende. The guys no longer feature in Tahidi high but are doing great elsewhere.OJ and Shish have been featuring in adverts-the indomie and bolt stuff while DNA hit the jackpot by featuring Freddy in his hit 'Maswali ya polisi'.

It is very clear that Kenyans had a great liking for the actors, actually, with their exit, Tahidi high lost its popularity. The actors were so good that it was so difficult to get them out of the scene and it reached a point that no matter how good new actors were, they just had to be cut off. It has been over a year since their exit but the producers are still struggling to get stand out talent to carry the show and are largely depending on Omosh and Miss Morgan to carry the whole show on their backs. However, seems like the cross is too heavy for them and the fans are continually loosing taste in the show. Perhaps, and on a serious note, a run of Tahidi university would bring back life to the show.

What do you make of a fan writing a probable 'script' on Tahidi university? I got this on Fans of crazy Monday's 'weekly face-off on Facebook page and trust me,it has a lot to tell. One of the clear points is the crazy creativity of the Kenyan youth, their love for the madness and the much they miss the show. This is what the admin posted, "OJ and Tanya used to date back in Tahidi high school, however after KCSE they were admitted in different Campuses miles apart.After a while OJ got worried coz Tanya was not repling his mail.Tanya was dating someone else so after sometimes she got fed up with OJ's SMSes , Email , Inboxes.. she decided to teach OJ a lesson by tagging him a photo of her giving another guy a blow job with the caption 'I have moved on n I dont want 2 hear frm u again' OJ downloaded the photo and wrote on the back, "Dear Mum and Dad, am having so much fun in campus. Pliz send me more money." and sent it to Tanya parents via G4S." The guys did six years in high school, I hope they passed their KCSE and if so, a campus story on the two would be interesting.
